  • EDIT updated after 4 months, (18-03-2021) have returned the boots and received a refund. One has split where the foot part meets the sole and is letting in water. Certainly not what I expected after 4 months! So very sad and unsure what to replace with as very put off. Thank you Amazon for making return and refund easy as no replacement available.
ordered these to replace my 8 year old pair of joules wellibobs that were still going well except the new dog chewed a hole in them!
What I like about these is they keep my feet dry. Because I suffer from a circulation problem in one leg I struggle with normal wellingtons as I can’t get me left leg in due to swelling. No worry with these as they are comfortable ankle wellies keeping my feet dry and snug. I am a size 6 and that’s what I buy for these too. I wear boot socks with them as they are long enough to stop the top rubbing on my fat leg and seem to be the right fit in the foot so that I can walk comfortably without the boot slopping as some wellies do.
I loved the price at £30 and hope they last me another 8 years as long as they lock them in the cupboard when the dog is around.
The only reason I have given a 4 star is because the fleece insoles seem to move as they are not fixed in so I constantly have to rearrange them for each wear. Mind you this is an improvement on my last pair when the fleece sole extended up the heel and constantly rolled down.
I love the designs but sadly the nicest designs were long wait for delivery and with a dog to walk twice daily in the rain I needed them urgently.
So nice, dry, cosy feet and no slipping in the mud. Wide enough to tuck trousers into.

  • I love these boots! I bought the bee print and they just brighten up my day, I especially like the pop of yellow of the sole. They are just the thing for long, wet dogs walks.

There have been a lot of comments about sizing, so maybe this will help: I’m a size 6 and have two pairs of joules wellies. I have a pair in size 5 that I use in the summer as they fit perfectly with a pair of regular cotton socks. These ones I got in a size 6, they are my winter wellies and I wear them with a pair of regular socks, plus very think merino wool socks on top. They fit almost perfectly with this set up, just a touch too long for my foot but still comfortable to walk in. I’m sure some extra insoles would help those who need to fill more space.
Quality-wise, my summer pair were bought in 2007…they are still perfect, if a bit faded looking. Buy them, you won’t be disappointed.

  • I like these boots, easy to slip on and off and great for walking dogs through wet fields and woods. I purchased on 9th February now early April and they have split already at the cuff – not sure now if I can return as it says window closed but they should last more than 1 1/2 months!
ive seen this split on another review so perhaps they are not durable?
Update……contacted amazon and they replaced immediately as the boots do have a 1 year guarantee. Thanks Amazon.

  • I love the bee design. They are slightly on the large side. I bought size 7 and would say these are really size 7.5, but they were such an absolute bargain – I paid just £12 for a pair here on Amazon, that I’m keeping them and will wear them with thick socks, or add an insole. *** UPDATE *** – I bought these in June 2020. I have admittedly worn them a lot, but only for rainy dog walks – certainly not every day or even every week. Today, 15th November 2020, I wore them in the rain and they let in water. It is not obvious where the leak is, but both feet were soaked within a couple of mins of setting out. Also, the boots own insoles were very poor and quickly peeled off and had to be replaced. I suppose you get what you pay for and £12 for 6 months’ wear isn’t so bad, but I certainly wouldn’t buy this brand again, however pretty they are.

  • Very disappointed. This is the second pair of Joules Wellibobs I’ve tried. The first had a hole in the heel within 2 weeks. Amazon replaced them but the second have now split near the toe after about a month.

This is with light garden use and dog walking – nothing heavy duty.

Expected so much more from a “quality” brand. I can only assume that these are designed for the once a year festival visitor or glamper. Definitely not suitable for even the lightest gardening or walking.

    Avoid.

  • These lovely looking boots arrived in good time and were well packaged. I have suffered from plantar fasciitis so need support on the heels/soles. Unfortunately I have found these boots to be only suitable for short walks (I usually walk for an hour half plus). I find that the soles are very flimsy and I don’t like the added insoles as they just slide up whenever you walk. These boots are waterproof. Sadly I will only be using these boots for a short walk ‘round the block’ and will endeavour to find sturdier boots for longer walks. Such a shame as they look so niceand I spent time researching good recommendations on the reviews but these are just not comfortable (you can feel every Stone, twig you walk over).

  • Easy to get on and off, although my woollen sock tried to come off with it. The insert at the bottom is soft and will come out if you wish.

I am a 5.5 wide fitting, but wear a 6 most often. It is a very generous size 6, but still good for my feet. The boots are comfortable to try on and walk around the kitchen, I will update after the dog walks during this week.

  • I love these boots, they are really comfy and practical but they are also quite funky. The back tab makes it easy to get them on and off. I would say they are sized generously. I normally take a 5-5.5 and the size 5 fitted perfectly with room to spare for socks. Overall a good purchase.
