  • “OMG! Where’re your feet?” exclaimed my mate when I showed him my new camo boots. OK, the camo effect is not that perfect but they are perfectly sized, well made, and comfortable. I’m not used to boots this high and found them a bit restrictive on ankle movement. I guess this is necessary for ankle support. Leaving the laces less tight eliminated this feeling although I’m probably losing the ankle protection I paid for. I really like them and I use them for hill walking and as a maxi-scooter boot.

One month on: I’ve walked about 12 miles a week in them and I’m completely satisfied. They have not leaked at all and after a little initial discomfort around the ankles, I find them very comfortable. For me, the lace tension has to be adjusted so as the ankles are not loose but not tight either. Perfect!

Two months on: Walking in wet grass my feet get wet. The fabric behind the laces seems to be very porous. I could not recommend these as wet weather boots. Not much of a problem for me, if it’s really wet I wear my wellies. But rating reduced to 4 stars. I still really like them.

  • Very comfortable, look great, I walked up and down Snowdon in them in horrible wind and rain without wearing them in and had no issues.

  • Lasted a weekend of hiking in wales. Total of 24.3km

Good points are- VERY comfortable, warm, waterproof and genuinely feel and look great
Under £100 boots best out thereish.

I suppose if you have the money to buy a new pair for every hike this doesn’t concern you but I think i expected a little more from these boots.

Must be some sort of fault with design or glue used. Both boots same place. My friends lasted 3 months until sole started to pull away same issue.

In my eyes these boots have gone from a 10 to a 2 as I can not warrant paying £70+ for every 20 odd km. but money a side I’m just disappointed as that has been the only bad point and I was really impressed with performance until I got home and today and started cleaning them.

Xpeti give you a leaflet to say these boots come with 6 month warranty if such issue occurs however no way of contacting them.

I still can return via Amazon which I’ll be doing as these boot do not meet expectations set by seller. Which in essence state that nothing should happen with these boots for 6 month of wear and they are the best thing since sliced bread.

But I would recommend these boots if your planning to keep them on a shelf.

    Thanks
    kind regards
    Krystian.

  • Re-review as Amazon sent a set of used boots.

Immediately realised that the boots are extremely sturdy and solid as mentioned by a few reviewers.
They are very comfortable for long walks, waterproof (so far) and even easy to clean, not had any blisters or even a need to wear in as required with most hiking boots.
Laces require changing, the original ones are just not up to the job and loosen rather quickly.

Highly recommended if you can and want to change laces to something better.

  • Ordered these yesterday and they turned up just in time for a five mile local hike. They are absolutely brilliant in terms of comfort and sizing. This is my first pair of proper walking boots but I can certainly say that this brand is good value for money in comparison to other better known names that I checked out, I will be using these regularly so let’s hope they are just as good at durability.

  • Excellent set of boots for the price , bought a size 10 as i usually take an 11 in runners and i am please to say they fit like a glove with thick hiking socks on. They look excellent with the woodland camouflage. They provide excellent grip in wet and mucky conditions. They are waterproof to a certain extent so would recommend using a waterproof spray to treat them after each clean for the next. I would highly recommend.

  • Straight out of the box, I wore these for almost 3 days solid marshalling the Summer Wolf Run. They were subjected to mud and rain and puddles and over exuberant runners at the water stop. No leakages and more comfortable than my favourite slippers. Grip was excellent on the mud and the obstacles I tried.
Boots are easy lacing, which was excellent for getting in and out of my tent. No fighting with tight boots and falling over!
Have since used them daily on my dog walking route. Usually the 10k was give me aching feet but not so with these. And still no leaks.
    Highly recommended!

  • I normally take a 9.5 so if in doubt, I go up and get a 10. In this case, because it was free delivery and free returns, I bought 2 pairs a 9 and a 10 and tried them both on. Even the 9 was way too big. The 10 was huge. So I would say the sizing was way out. But not only that, the boots themselves were too tall and whilst they would provide good ankle support if you had a sprain or something, I found them uncomfortable tall. So I sent them both back.

Build-quality was fine. They looked nice and sturdy, they were well presented and the materials were all good quality, but they weren’t for me I’m afraid.
