  • I brought these as an early Christmas present for my partner as we do a lot of dog walking and his previous boots had worn out. He said that they have been amazing so far (we have had them for 2 weeks and walk everyday) – the most comfortable boots he has ever had, waterproof, good grips and a good all rounder well worth the money.

  • Been out for a couple of fairly short walks in them so far and they seem to be comfortable with no obvious issues other than the laces which come with them, As other reviewers have said the laces are too short, I can just about tie them using the hooks at the top but there is no way I can do a double knot – to do this you would have to tie them in the last eyes below. As far as the fit goes I usually take a size 8 and don’t require a wide fit, these in a size 8 fit me ok but I would say they are not a big as a Sketchers 8 which I have a number of and they are also not a wide fit.

  • As others have commented, the insole feels strange on first contact, but absolutely fine once worn. The fit seems about right and the shoes are quite light. Unfortunately after 3 days one of the lace hooks snapped off while tightening the laces. They can still be worn, but can’t be fastened properly above the ankle.
Still waterproof, but so they should be after only a few days of wearing.

  • These are the best walking boots I’ve ever owned. They are light, comfy and warm with sturdy soles, and they look good too.

  • Excellent boots for wet weather they are light and comfortable just what my husband wanted and excellent delivery as well

  • Bought these to go on 10 mile hike in forest with group of people, 1st time wearing them completed the walk through forest with muddy puddles and soft and hard ground, great grip on all different terrain, very light on and feet didn’t even get wet and even more comfortable than some trainers I have, must say they are excellent, so if need them for going out for walk or hike through all different terrains you won’t be disappointed well worth the money.

  • There is something basically wrong with these shoes.

I think it’s down to two things:

    The heel is unusually high.
The insole is ‘bubbled’, rather than flat.

The consequence of these two design features is my feet tended to slide forward most of the time; the reduced friction of the insole and increased ‘height’ of heel created a sort of sliding chute effect.

It meant there was usually a tightened feeling around my big toes. I say ‘usually’ because if I walked uphill, my feet didn’t slide forward and the shoes felt fine.

BUT as soon as there was the slightest downward incline/slope, my feet would slip forward again and the tight-fit discomfort at my big toes returned – argh!

At first, I thought I just had to break the shoes in: I went for two one hour walks, thinking ‘these shoes will be fine, just give it time’. But I was wrong; after the second walk, I cannot begin to explain the intense relief I felt on taking the shoes off. In addition, both of my big toe bones ached for several hours afterwards.

At that point, it was an easy decision to return them.

I won’t be buying from this brand again. I think they have over-thought their design in what could have otherwise been a great pair of walking shoes.

Now time to look for another brand – I am open to suggestions!

    ************ EDIT **************

I ordered one size-up, size 11, and what a different story – they were a perfect, comfortable fit!

Due to this, I have upgraded my review to 4 stars.

I can’t in all fairness give them 5 stars as I believe they have not been sized properly, and I’m not the only person to have said this.

I ordered a further pair of size 11’s so as to have the convenience of reaching for a new box when the current pair wears out.

  • As mentioned in previous comments the fastenings feel a bit flimsy.
I am quite heavy handed so after reading other reviews I am being very gentle and will have to keep remembering otherwise I think that I pull the top part off.
As for the sizing,I have never had a problem with regular size 9 footwear.
Theses however are a tad too small, even with thin socks.
